I have been a professional freelance editor for three years now, and I’ve loved every second of it. One of my absolute favorite things is getting to work with authors on creating and polishing a book that they’re truly proud to put out into the world.
I’ve learned so much about the indie publishing world over the years, and the number one thing I hear from indie authors is that they wished the editing process was more collaborative.
They want the option to continue speaking to their editor after they receive the finished manuscript so they can ask questions, brainstorm, and get a handle on how to make their story the best it can be. That’s why I’ve added chat and coaching call features to my developmental and copy editing containers.
